This past weekend in Pac-12 football there were a lot of upsets but let’s quickly go over what went wrong. First off, after an 11 year losing streak versus USC, ASU beat the Trojans 43-22. The Sun Devils were missing five defensive starters, but the offense became the real story, by making a comeback shortly after the Trojans took the lead at beginning of the second half.
USC looks to bounce back from the Arizona blues by redeeming themselves versus the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday. Kick-off is set for 12:30 pm PT, at the L.A. Coliseum.
The Wildcats are looking for some redemption as well after losing to Oregon 56-31. Now if those numbers aren’t sitting right with you, here’s another – The UCLA Bruins beat Oregon St. 27-19.
Stanford continues to be the fan favorite, as Andrew Luck continues to show why he is Heisman material and will be a first round draft pick next year in the NFL. Luck looks to stop the short UCLA winning streak this Saturday.
The Washington schools will engage the PAC12 newcomers, as the Washington St Cougars take on Colorado and the Washington Huskies battle Utah. Meanwhile, ASU looks to use the momentum from their last win, to propel them past Oregon St.
Although it’s still early, there is all the talk about who will battle for the first Pac-12 Championship. The best thus far are Oregon and Stanford, but could there be an upset brewing ?
There’s plenty of time left – should be fun to watch.
